The initial phase of the study reviewed the entire 70 miles of US 101 in San Luis Obispo County and evaluated it based on 11 performance measures including safety, access, congestion and travel time as well as public input. That effort helped narrow the study to four focus study areas listed below. Click on one of the areas below to provide your comments:
Five Cities area
Segment 1: An 8.7 mile segment that extends from the northbound off-ramp for Exit 186 (Traffic Way) to the northbound on-ramp from Avila Beach Road (through the Five Cities area).
San Luis Obispo
Segment 2: A 4.5 mile segment that extends from Los Osos Valley Road interchange to Monterey Street interchange (through San Luis Obispo).
Segment 3: An 8.8 mile segment that extends from Santa Barbara Road interchange to Vineyard Drive interchange (through Atascadero).
Segment 4: A 4.4 miles segment that extends from Spring Street (South) interchange to Spring Street (North) interchange (through Paso Robles).
